You end up with cars half a foot from you on both sides. Even if the movie has already begun, the cars keep coming in. Even once the place is full, they just keep letting people in.

It doesn't matter if you get there nice & early, grab a good spot and have everything set up & settled down- you are constantly told to move your vehicle to make more room for others who are just showing up. Now the people who run this place are all about making the most money they can- even if it means ruining it for everyone else. It's always been so much more fun watching a movie while outdoors at night. I have been coming to this drive-in for decades. It fulfilled my every expectation and I'm looking forward to going back again soon. Though I'm too young to have been around for the height of the drive-in movie business, I have to imagine that this would be a like trip back in time for people of a certain age. All in all we spent maybe 5 or 6 hours at the theater. We actually ended up spending more money on food than we did on the tickets and we were lucky enough to see two excellent movies. If you're planning on seeing the double feature, the price of tickets absolutely can't be beaten. My wife and I were situated in the first row (which isn't a travesty at a drive-in theater!) and watched from the front seats of our car while tuned in through the car radio. I'd recommend getting there about an hour early to ensure plenty of time to get a good spot, hit the snack bar and use the restrooms if needed. The staff is very organized, making both the purchasing of tickets and the process of parking quick and seamless. In a day and age where going to the movies is becoming a more expensive and luxurious experience, this enduring and rare piece of old school Americana brings the simplicity and nostalgia back to the movie industry.
